Predeal - Jud. Brasov
The Predeal resort is located in the center of Romania on the Prahova Valley, between the Prahova and Timiş rivers, at the foot of the Bucegi mountains to the northeast and the Baiului mountains to the northwest. The town of Predeal is the highest town in the country, located at an altitude of 1030m-1110m.
The mountain climate in the Prahova Valley area, with its cool summers and cold winters, makes the Predeal resort of real tourist interest in all seasons. The town of Predeal offers delightful views, being recommended both for recreation and recovery from convalescence thanks to its high humidity and unpolluted air, but also for practicing winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding or sledding.
The resort's attractions are the ski slopes with different degrees of difficulty, the cross-country ski slope on Valea Râşnoavei, the mountain trails marked for tourism, the ATV trails made in recent years, the chair lift and the ski lifts on Clăbucet.
The mountains around the city offer the possibility of making unforgettable hikes and admiring the landscapes: Piatra Mare Massif (1843m) to the North, Bucegi Mountains (2505m to Omu Peak) to the Southwest and Postăvarul Mountains (1799m) to the Northwest.
